JOYFUL DELIVERY DOULA PACKAGE

My Birth Doula Package offers expecting parents ongoing support, information, and advocacy throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. My fee is $650 and includes the following services:

FREE CONSULTATION

This is a time for you and your partner (If relevant) to meet me and discuss my services, explore your reasons for wanting a doula, and to determine if I am a good fit for you and your family.

2 PRENATAL VISITS

Prenatal visits allow me to learn about who you are and what is most important to you. It also allows you to learn about me and for us to discuss evidence based information and to look at what concerns you with labor.

We will also address what brings you peace and what you hope to see the day you meet your beautiful baby. Together we talk about and practice labor positions, comfort techniques and any items you feel would bring you peacefulness during your labor. (Soft lighting, music playlists, essential oils, compresses.)

As my client I will not only offer you access to my extensive library of books, but you are also given a beautiful loaner bag which includes a TENS unit, Pretty Pusher, Peanut Ball, Massage Roller, and a Rebozo.

During one of the two prenatal visits I will ask your permission to bring a backup Doula to meet with you and your partner. If ever there is an emergency and I am detained I want you to be covered by a secondary Doula who you are familiar with and one you are comfortable with. There is absolutely no additional cost to you if ever this situation presents itself. It is highly unlikely I may need a backup but you know… life!

If you are comfortable with me attending one of your prenatal appointments with your caregiver I will include that visit at no extra cost in order for your midwife or doctor to meet me prior to your delivery day.

PHONE, EMAIL & TEXT SUPPORT

When you reach out to me I will respond. Always. I want you to know that I am at your disposal. If I am attending another client’s birth I will respond to you as soon as reasonably possible and take your call or reply to your message.  I am available to you for any questions, concerns, or if you need a listening ear. Your questions and concerns are important to me.

HOME LABOR SUPPORT

If you plan on staying home during the first stage of labor I will happily join you.  Many mothers enjoy the comforts of home until it is time to go to the birthing center or hospital.  If you plan on a home birth I will join you when you request my presence. If you are unsure if you are in labor or not please know I would rather come and not be needed than to be needed and not there.  Your birth, well being, and peace is my priority.

LABOR & BIRTH SUPPORT AT THE BIRTHING CENTER/HOSPITAL/HOME

On the day of baby’s birth I will come to you prepared with my “Mary Poppins Carpet Bag” and with a mindset of focus on you, your partner, and your baby. I will be prepared to offer informational support, encouragement, effective positioning, massage, comfort techniques, and a variety of tools to aid you in your birth.

I will also be there for your partner (If relevant) to give them breaks and make sure they stay hydrated, nourished, and rested in order to aid you. With your direction I will also be a liaison if needs be, and will be prepared to run defense at your request. I will be by your side cheering you on and work with your medical team to honor your birth preferences.

PHOTOS/VIDEOGRAPHY

When I have a moment here or there I will happily take photographs, and if you would like a video recording I can start a device to capture the birth. I will have them edited for you at no extra cost and give you the video. If you prefer a full time  videographer/photographer I will provide you with references.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT

Immediate Postpartum Support

After baby arrives I will be available to you for up to two hours to aid you with breastfeeding, encourage family bonding, remind pediatric staff of your newborn decisions, and rejoice in the beauty of your baby!

First Postpartum Home Visit

Once you’re home and are nesting in with your baby, I will come to your home (generally 3-5 days after baby's birth) and offer transitional support focused on processing the birth experience, assisting with breastfeeding, answering newborn care questions, and discuss your transition into parenthood. I will happily help with light cleaning, meal preparation, and aid you with sibling support. If you need a nap or self care I will happily enjoy cuddles with your new arrival!

Second Postpartum Visit

Much like the first visit I want to come to your home and check on how you are feeling.  You will be tending to your new baby, and I would like to tend to you and your needs.  At this visit I offer a shoulder, neck, and foot massage, and you will receive several beautiful herbal packs for bath soaks.

Postpartum Informational Support

I am available to you by phone, text, or email for up to eight weeks after the birth of your baby for questions and will also provide you  with resources as needed.
